Landon Edwards (PVA)

Landon Edwards was elected Adair County Property Valuation Administrator on Dec 1, 2018. He served as a deputy PVA for 12 years in the office prior to the election. He attended Lindsey Wilson College where he majored in Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting. Following graduation, Landon begin working with the County Surveyor Mike McKinney. It was during this time that he learned about deeds, land sales, and aerial imagery. Landon then started with the Adair County PVA Office as a deputy PVA on Aug 1, 2008. As a Deputy PVA Landon had many responsibilities such as deed transfers, county code changes on vehicles, valuation adjustment on motor vehicles, maintaining all tangible entries, field work (measuring houses/taking pictures), and mapping parcels on our GIS system. In 2018, Landon was honored by the state of Kentucky with the Terri Bennett Excel Deputy of the Year award.  This award is given to a deputy that excels in their position, and provides quality service to taxpayers and commercial users of the PVA Office. Since taking office Landon has fully automated the PVA Office, and remodeled the office layout making the space much more accessible to the public. He also started the Homestead birthday card program designed to create taxpayer awareness about the exemptions the PVA Office offers. Landon loves helping the taxpayers of Adair County, and considers it an honor to serve in this capacity. We pride ourselves on being one of the most helpful PVA Offices in the state.
